ELISHACOY SNAIL REPAIRING SNAIL CREAM REVIEW

Hi guys!

I’m excited that it’s finally Saturday not only because it’s Weekend but also because I’ve been waiting to post my FIRST Sample Saturday post!

If you have no idea what I’m babbling on about then please have a read of my Sample Saturday intro post. But basically Sample Saturday is my new blog feature where I will be testing out a beauty sample and posting a mini review every Saturday.

So the first sample I tried out is the Elishacoy Skin Repair Snail Cream. Yep that is what I said. “Snail” Cream, and it is exactly what you are thinking. This stuff contains 91% snail slime extract.

I don’t know how they figured it out but apparently snail secretions does a phenomenal job at promoting skin regeneration. Asia has gone mad knocking out all sorts of skincare containing the stuff.

The thought of snail slime frankly freaks me out and I had imagined this rank, gunky slime that smells  rather foul.  So when I found  this sample I had a right mind of throwing it out. However I thought this feature is all about discovering new products so I braved it and gave it a go.

As I have only a small sample I  obviously can not talk to you about it’s long term benefits  but according to the product description this is what Elishacoy have to say about the Skin Repairing Snail Cream:

“Elishcoy’s Snail Repairing Snail Cream contains 91% of snail slime, hyaluronate acid, aloe vera leaf extract – natural ingredients that are great for skin nourishment. A premium regeneration cream containing a new patented vegetable ingredient and high functional materials. The best snail cream provides superior skin cell recovery effect to damaged or aged skin.”

MY THOUGHTS:

So my initial thoughts of this cream was eww it contains snail bodily fluids. I was too scared to open the sample sachet, and may I also add looked like a condom wrapper which didn’t help me at all…

Anyway I went ahead and squeezed out the cream thinking that I’d be greeted with green slime, however I was pleasantly surprised that it looked no different to your regular skin cream :D Pheww! Thank goodness! I gave it a whiff and hallelujah it had no unpleasant stench either.

So I happily applied to my face, and was also pleasantly surprised to feel the cooling effect on  my skin. The cream started to tingle a little and my face felt very fresh and soothed. My skin felt very hydrated and and had a healthy looking sheen.

Based on my first experience, I’d be interested to see how  the long term use of this product would benefit the skin.

You can shop the Elishacoy skin repair snail cream from WishTrend.com for $43 USD which is equivalent to £26. The site offers worldwide shopping too!

I hope you enjoyed my first Sample Saturday Post, I’ve had loads of fun preparing it! Please check back for next weeks post for another sampling session!

Also if you’ve used some sort of snail cream let me know how you got on in the comment box below please! I’d  love to hear about the effects it’s had on you!

Have a lovely weekend guys!

  1. Yay! Such a good idea for a feature :)
I’m so intrigued by this, but glad it looks like a normal cream rather than like actual snail slime hahaha :) You have to wonder what they were doing to find out snail slime helps skin regeneration…? :S

    • Lol it really does make you wonder doesn’t lol!

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my post :) Glad you liked it! x

  2. Thanks for sharing! I’ve never used this brand, but I’ve been using Elicina for a few months now to prevent razor bumps. Seen great results with it, but I’ll have to take a look at Elishcoy and make a review of it for my own site.
