SKIN FOOD BLACK BEAN EYE BROW PENCIL BEFORE & AFTER

Eyebrows are a funny thing. They occupy so little of your face, yet the impact they could have on your overall look is phenomenal! Now, I’m not particularly proud of mine so to speak, because out of all the things I could have inherited from my parents, I was [un]lucky enough to get my Dad’s bushy and unruly brows. You may not be able to tell that much from my before photos but that’s because I’ve spent years plucking, taming, brushing, training them to stay in one place! I swear they have a life of their own. For a starts all the hairs grow downwards rather than sideways, which gives me a headache like no tomorrow every morning, trying to smooth them over…

Anyway, hardly ever would I make a big song and dance about my brows, let alone do a blog post featuring them. I even grew a fringe over them, just so I wouldn’t have to bother with eyebrows for a while! However once in a while you will come across a fantastic product, you just have to shout about to the world, and I may have just found the best eyebrow pencil I have used to date!

I purchased the SKIN FOOD Black Bean Eyebrow Pencil along with a few other bits and pieces from http://www.cosmetic-love.com – {a site that sells many Korean Brand Make up! Fab site guys, you should definitely check it out if you’re into all the asian beauty/cosmetics.}

My usual eyebrow product, which I’ve been using for the last 2-3 years is the SMASHBOX Brow Tech Trio. I find the Smashbox one not very long wearing at all. Throughout the day my brows seem to transform back into it’s less than glory form as the product wears away.

Enter the amazing SKIN FOOD Black Bean Eyebrow Pencil! My brows have never looked so tamed! This pencil gives long lasting results and it’s so easy to use and fuss free too! None of this separate brush application business. Just apply straight from the pen itself and then blend to perfection with the brush on the other end! This brush is really handy for blending out harsh lines and smoothing the hairs giving you fantastic results in a few, easy minutes.  For those that’s interested, like all SKIN FOOD products, this eyebrow pencil is of course made with some sort of food ingredient, and in this case it’s Black Bean. The site was vague as to the properties/benefits of this, but from what I read, it’s meant to help moisturise, and is good for sensitive skin.

I’m using the The SKIN FOOD Black Bean Eyebrow pencil in Grey/Brown No.5. The good thing about this product is that it also comes in a really good range of shades that are well suited to Asian hair and skin tones. This is what I used to struggle with a lot of Western brands, that I could never  quite find the right shade to match.

All in all, a great product that does it’s job perfectly, and at just £4.49 it’s a blooming steal too!

  1. Your brows look amazing. I have just started doing mine. I don’t pluck or wax though because my eyebrows are light and minimal enough. I am going to have to give this brow pencil a try :) lovely review! I hope you are doing well!!

  2. I still have mixed feelings towards brow products because brows are so important and I’d like to fill them a bit, but then I’m not used to the way I look and my brows look “overdone”. I’ll get used to it someday..
    Thank you for that website, it looks really interesting! I love the cuteness of many Korean brands, and they deliver worldwide so I don’t have to buy from someone random on ebay.
