How many of you guys would think of QVC when you shop for Beauty products? If not, and like me, you still remember QVC as the dated, home TV shopping channel, then I can take a guess and assume that that’s probably why!
BUT I have to say, QVC have made a remarkable change to this perception and they actually carry quite a fair share of some amazing brands like Bobbi Brown, Loccitane, Nails Inc and more! Plus you’re even able to find some exclusive QVC deals and kits on special offers too! Can’t complain!
Anyway, when they contacted me to review the Laura Geller Eyeshadow I was pleased to try a brand I’ve never tried before! I received the Baked Marble Eyeshadow in Moonstone/Blue Heaven which reminds me of the mac Mineralize eyeshadows!
The shadow it self looked really pretty with a swirl of purples and blue tones. At first, I didn’t think that I would get so much colour payoff with this shadow, but I was wrong as it was in fact super pigmented and stayed true to colour when applied. I was also quite surprised at how many facets of colour this shadow contains, I love that it had a small areas of black which I could use to line my eyes! I used the lilac all over the lids and the blues on the corners.
The above photos show the eyeshadow used on it’s own without any primer, as you can see the colours come off really well.
I’ve already spent an afternoon on the QVC website this week and bought a few travel essentials for my holiday in April! I purchased the Emma Hardie Travel kit which is absolutely divine! Review of that will be up soon! :)
If you fancy checking them out visit the QVC Makeup section for some beauty bargains and deals!
Thanks for reading and Happy Weekend guys!
when i would see this in the store i would probably grab and buy it.. but it just looks very simple when you swatch it =( too bad..
I’m surprised it turned out being so pigmented. They are actually two very nice colors, but I am a little bit wary about buying these new mixed color palates. I tend to like have complete control over one color at a time when I am using eye shadow. You know what I mean? It would suck if you were just trying to apply the blue and then you end up getting a huge smear of pink or navy midway through the application. Do you think you would buy it again?
Ooh this is gorgeous
This eyeshadow duo is beautiful!
