I have really enjoyed today, I took the day off work for a bit of family time at a BBQ in the afternoon! But for some reason I got up at an ungodly hour today despite the fact I have nothing to get up early for. So I made the most of my morning and took some before and after shots for my FOTD post.
As mentioned in a previous post I wanted to show you guys the effect of my new Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation. I go through foundations so quickly, and I hardly ever stick to one brand or type. There are so many that I’ve used and love already and now I’ve got this amazing Bobbi Brown one to add to my faves list!
This one was an impulse buy as usual, the sales lady did a very comprehensive consultation and demo and the results had me hooked. My skin looked so nice I had to take a bottle with me!
Anyway, I had a go at it myself this morning, and although it didnt look as good as when the lady at Bobbi Brown applied it, it’s still an amazing finish.
Now it pains me to have to show you this and it took a lot of courage! Here is my bare face, all I’ve done here is apply my usual moisturiser.
…and now the shot where I’ve applied the Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation. I applied it with my fingers, instead of a brush, as me being me have not washed it yet haha!
Hopefully you can see the skin looks a lot more even and the redness around my mouth and nose has disappeared. I have very dry skin due to eczema so the best thing about this foundation for me is how moisturising it is! It also contains SPF which is even better! My eczema does not respond well to normal sun protection creams, so I tend to go for face products that already contain sunscreen.
I bought this with a discount from John Lewis so I paid £26 rather than the usual £29, it is expensive but in my opinion very good and it will last for ages as a little smidge of this will go a long way! I can see why people describe Bobbi Brown foundation as ” your skin onlybetter” it really does look completely natural and flawless. I love it!
So here’s the rest of my make up for my FOTD post.
I made my lips the focus today and went for a bright Coral/Red lipstick called Confession by Topshop teamed with a feline catflick on the eyes, the look was kept fresh, with soft, pink cheeks.
