Just thought I’d do a quick outfit post as I can’t even remember the last time I did one! Not an overly adventurous ensemble though, my wardrobe seems to be running on a very casual theme as of late since none of my clothes fit me anymore. I really need to do a serious shop!

Today I am wearing a casual knit/black skinnies combo with a few accessories to pick it up a bit. My over sized clutch was a random find in  TK MAXX, it’s great as it’s massive and fits in so much, also it can be dressed up or down so I get quite a lot of uses from it.

I’m planning on doing a massive wardrobe revamp soon! Out with the old and in with the new! It’s giving me a headache so any suggestions on how I should go about this would be greatly appreciated! What do I throw out? What do I keep? I’ve been trying to de-clutter my wardrobe for ages but can never seem to part with things despite the fact that I probably would never wear that piece again. Also what key things do I buy to ensure I’m not here again in a few months time! Ahh the dilemmas of being a woman….

I wont list all the products featured here as you’d be here all day reading a long ass list but I managed to bag myself some Etude House goodies! I have to give a big shout to the lovely Elisa over at www.memorable-days.net for bringing this brand to my attention! Elisa has a lot of amazing reviews over on her gorgeous blog, so do head over for a little nose! When I saw the Boutique (which looked like a dolls house) from afar I was literally squealing with glee! As you can see I went a little crazy in Etude House… May I add that this was done on a few separate occasions, I kept going back for more and ended up with more lipsticks I could ever need…

Whilst I was out there, God saw fit to bless me with the worlds biggest spot, the size of Mt. Everest right on my chin… I exaggerate not! For some reason the rest of my skin decided to clear up during this time so in comparison, this raging, angry spot just looked more apparent. Now, I’m not whinging too much because it was after all just ONE spot and it could have been worse, but it was not much fun having to spend longer everyday to hide this lump under my skin! I went into my standard “I will fix it” mode and started shopping for all kinds of miracle skin remedies I could find… and hence the huge SKII haul! I’ve used the Miracle water in the past which I loved, but found too expensive to keep up. However a trip to Macau Casinos and a lucky spin on the roulette machine later I found myself $3000 (£300)  richer! HA! Beginners luck!

SKIN FOOD is another brand that I loved having on my bathroom shelf! I just love their cute packaging (just look at the Steam Milk range! ^^) and all their products smell good enough to eat! My favourite at the moment is the Sesame seed Mask! It warms up on your face as you apply it, sooo soothing! BUT that’s another Post! :D

Sasa is fab place to pick up beauty essentials in HK, the place is like a sweet shop for me, I could spend hours in there! I managed to pick up a few bits from majolica majorca including this super cute, blush tin! I just love that adorable puff that comes with it!

Only thing I hate about shopping in SASA is the incredibly annoying staff that follow you around like a bad smell -  just lingering around wherever you go. I had to pretend I didn’t speak Cantonese to get rid of this woman who was trying to tell me in her limited English vocab, the benefits of this PGT Mascara. Fair play she did sell it to me as I bought three! Ha! Fab mascara ;)

As I said there is a lot here to digest and I plan on reviewing these soon, but if you spot anything you’d like to see more of then let me know! :D

YSL Rouge Volupté Lipstick has been on my ‘wishlist’ ever since I laid eyes on that beautiful casing! It is still the prettiest lipstick I have ever seen! *Drool*

I bit the bullet last week when I was casually browsing on my iPad… (always a bad idea) and I got it from the John Lewis site since it was on offer for £22 instead of the usual.. er hmm £24… Fine! I admit it wasn’t that much of a save but shush and let me be! :P I promise I will use it everyday!

I couldn’t decide which shade to go for but in the end I chose no. 13 PEACH PASSION. I wish I went for a more pinky shade now as I always opt for the peachy ones.  However this shade does not disappoint as it looks just as lovely on as it does in the tube.

Shade 13 is a Coral, peach shade with more hints of orange than pink, it would look gorgeous on girls with tanned skin tones and would be the perfect Summer Lipstick.  I like this colour because it adds warmth to my complexion and it is really easy to wear.

The formula of the lipstick is super hydrating and glides on really smoothly. However my lips have not been in great shape as of late and have been a little dry and I did find the lipstick slightly unforgiving.  I recommend a good exfoliating session and plenty of lipbalm before reaching out for this lippie to avoid the gross, flaky business!

Other than that a big thumbs up to this lipstick! I’m already eying up the Nude Shade… Shall I? Shan’t I? Ohhh what will I do!

I’ve been meaning to review this product for ages, it’s something that I have been using everyday since I got it from Hong Kong! I bought this on a whim when I was I saw it in SASA, and I am so glad I did!

WHAT IS IT?:

The KATE Dual Liner is a duo eyeliner pen with a flat brush, felt tip on one side and a sponge applicator on the other.  The sponge side was the intriguing thing for me, as I had no idea what it was for initially. However the Sales lady completely sold it to me when she said this product would make my eyes appear “extremely” large…  and on that note I literally ran to the check out.

HOW TO USE:

I used the pen to create a flick on the upper lid to make my eyes appear elongated and wider. For my lower lash line I used the sponge applicator side to line along the lower outer corners to make the eyes appear rounder for that enlarged effect.

WHY I LIKE IT:

• Ultra fine nib was easy to control and I was able to create a precise and defined line easily.
• The brush can be used to create both thick or thin lines thanks to its flat brush design! Use flat against the skin for thick lines or turn to its side for thin ones!
• Buildable colour. On first application the liquid liner gave a very pigmented but subtle finish, however you can add more coats for a more solid, black line. I found two coats to be sufficient for me.
• The formula on both ends were super pigmented. The liner glided on effortlessly and dried very fast, so no more smudges!
• The sponge side was soft and easy to blend.
• I love that this liner sinks into the skin rather than sits on top as it stops the line from flaking off. This is the longest wearing eyeliner I have ever worn! It does not budge at all! It’s even passed the crying test!
• Love that the sponge side is brown as I think black would be a tad too harsh for the effect we’re trying to achieve.
• Suits my super sensitive skin.
• Does what it says and opens up the eyes and creates the illusion of larger eyes.

THE NEGATIVES:

• Relatively hard to take off. No matter how well I thought I’d got it all, the next morning I seem to always wake up with panda eyes!
• This one is no biggie but I think think the sponge could be better if it was slightly narrower to allow for more control.

WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN?

YES! I’d definitely be scouring the internet for online retailers that stock this brand once I’ve run out, maybe even before that so I don’t have to be without lol!

Sasa.com does not stock them and you cannot purchase from the KATE site either! Eek! I did have a quick look and its available on YESSTYLE.com for £14 which is more than what I paid in HK, not to mention shipping! Any how I will keep searching!

I tend to use a lot of their hand creams and washes but I rarely shop their cosmetics range. However I spotted this little gem in their shop a while back and I was instantly drawn by the pretty bottle and air pump design. It looks soo cute on my dressing table! ^^

One pump of the PIVOINE DELICATE SHIMMER POWDER leaves a pretty sparkle on your skin with a gentle scent of peonies. I’m not a big fan of floral scents, but this one is not too overpowering. Besides the prettiness of the whole thing just overrides it anyway hehe!

This will be great for adding a little shimmer to the skin in the evening!

I believe this was a limited edition product so I feel quite bad blogging something that is no longer available. However, it’s such a fab Spring item that I feel like it deserves a little mention.

Not just any Lipstick though…  a TOM FORD Lippie! Sigh* I’m so in love with it! As dramatic as that sounds, I am actually really digging the super, smooth texture of this lipstick and the colour options are right up my street with their variations of soft nudes and pinks!

After a lot of swatching at the Tom Ford Counter and some friendly, customer service from a rather patient Sales Lady, I opted for 13 Blush Nude – a lovely, peachy nude shade!

So is it worth the hype? YES! (in my humble opinion lol) I love the finish and the colours! It was long lasting and did not leave my lips in a dry, flaky mess after a few hours! Plus look at the sleek casing! Droool!

Anyone else over splurge on a little novelty item lately? Do spill! :D

As I was going through everything, it was hard not to notice the amount of stripey attire in my closet. Now, I love my stripes as it’s easy chic, but I have so much of it in my wardrobe, it’s borderline obsessive!

Anyhow, the good news for me is that I hear Stripes are making a comeback for S/S 13′ which now makes my wardrobe on trend! HA! It’s finally happened! :D

I thought I’d celebrate with a Stripey NOTD inspired by my stripey hoard! Check them out along with a small snapshot of my stripey pieces. I have many more but I didn’t think hanging them all back up afterwards would be too much fun!

I was really pleased with the results, partly because it took me about a decade to finish both hands. Who knew it would take so long to get a decent stripe! My fave one though, is the white and beige design as I love the matte finish effect. I may have to redo all my nails with this design at some point, I think it would be really cute ^^

Well guys, so as it seems, I am being a flimsy blogger as of late. I did think I was back for good with my NYX Lip Cream Review last week (READ HERE). Little did I know that laser eye surgery would mean NO Make up for two weeks! Not the best of news for a Beauty Blogger hey?

Anyhow, I had my surgery on Wednesday and Today is Sunday, and already my vision is fantastic! I can’t even begin to tell you how great it is to wake up and just be able to see without fumbling around for glasses. I cant wait for my eyes to mend so I can stop worrying about the drops, the grittiness and the general discomfort I’ve been feeling. To be fair though, its all rather bearable, but I just cant wait to be fully recovered so  I can enjoy my new found “perspective” lol!

Anyway, since I can’t wear make up for another fortnight, I guess I will be focusing my blog onto other things that don’t require photos of my face. No one needs to see my bloodshot eyes now do they. Get ready for a lot of nail art and outfit posts guys!

So, back to the purpose of my post, I was kindly sent a set of the NCLA Designer nail wraps to try and I have been itching to test these out. I’ve been meaning to review these ever since I received them a few weeks ago, however as sods law would have it, I managed to break every single nail before I got the chance! I’ve had to wait until now for my nails to grow back a smidge.

I’m not usually a massive fan of nail wraps but the design on these were so pretty I couldn’t resist! PLUS these were only designed by Steph Stone, Jenna Hipp and Madeleine Pool! AMAZING LADIES!

Well I tested them out, and I love how easy they are to use, just stick and file! Simple! To seal it just apply a top coat and there you have it, nail art in a few quick and easy steps.

I wish I spent more time on mine though as I didn’t manage to seal them down perfectly and they have started to lift from my nail. This is my fault really for rushing them. They don’t look too artificial either as I find most other nail wraps can do. These really are a life saver for when you feel a little lazy but still want wicked looking nails!

The pack comes with two sheets of nail wraps (22 on each) in lots of different sizes, meaning they are customisable for any nail shape or size. If it’s slightly out, don’t worry, these wraps stretches easily to fit your nail. Just have to give it a gentle tug here or there. I love that it also comes with a nail file so you are fully equipped with everything you’ll need. Although you may need to invest in a bottle of Seche Vite Top coat for a super glossy finish! Don’t panic though, because they will still work with any normal clear polish.

Last week I bought 3 of the Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX Cosmetics with their 3 for 2 offer and I have to say, these non lip gloss/ sticks are a god sent!

I do not know where I’ve been in the last century, I must have been living under a rock as I can NOT believe that I hadn’t gotten my hands on these little gems sooner!

They literally are the best of both worlds with its creamy, colour rich formula. It’s easier to apply than a lipstick because of the applicator- a wand that you’d usually expect from a gloss, but it doesn’t leave your lips in a gloopy, sticky mess as you would often find with glosses! What more can you ask for?

The lip creams glide on super smooth and it’s strangely satisfying as you coat your lips in one even stroke! It then dries to a lovely, satiny matte finish that makes your lips look super soft and supple. I also found that these are rather forgiving with dry lips as it doesn’t adhere to grim flakes as much as a lipstick would!

I got 3 shades in ISTANBUL, SAN PAULO and ABU DHABI, check out my swatches, I had pretty decent lighting so these swatches are very true to colour :)

I LOVE them all, I can not decide which colour I prefer, in fact I’m pretty sure I’ll be back on the site to purchase the remaining 8 shades… O.O
Well they are 3 for 2 at £5 each at the moment, it’ll be rude not to right?

At just £5 each I think these are a great budget beauty buy, the formulation is fantastic, great colour pay off, conditioning on the lips, gives a stunning finish and plus just look at the adorable packaging!!! Soo cute!

So I thought I’d KA KA KA’TCH up with you guys with 10 little updates of what I’ve been up to lately!

1. In the space of 5 minutes I decided I was bored and decided to dip dye my hair… myself!
2. Although I’ve been absent, I’ve still managed to shop my ass off and spent loads of hard earned cash on new clothes and lipsticks! Reviews soon!
3. I’ve made a massive decision to move back home this week, hence my absence! Been busy packing and unpacking, NIGHTMARE!
4. I’ve JUST booked my appointment for Laser Eye Surgery!! DUM DUM DUM! I am crapping myself, but excited to be able to see at the same time.
5. My new favourite Lip Product is NYX Lip Cream! It’s not a gloss, it’s not a lipstick! It’s amazing!
6. On my nails Today is a gorgeous Jade Green Shade by Mavala! It looks great teamed with Pink lips for a pretty Spring time look!
7. We’ve booked our holiday for HONG KONG! We’re going on the 8th! Whoooooohoooo, just 2 more weeks!
8. I’ve switched Skin Care products, I am now in love and raving about Emma Hardie cleansing balm. I’ve been using this for a month now and my skin is looking and feeling sooo much better already!
9. I’ve just finished watching ALL the Twilight movies and loved it! I don’t know why it took me so long to get into it! Team Jacob all the way!
10. My current most favourite Spring Fragrances include Vera Wang Princess, Marc Jacobs Daisy and Chanel Mademoiselle. I’ve been wearing either one of these everyday and they all put me in a super happy Spring Time mood!

I was surprised at how well the Ombre came out, I wasn’t expecting the dye to be that strong to be honest. Although I’m still not too sure about the finish, I think the ends look a tad orange? I may have to go over with a toner to bring it down a notch, what do you think?

My recent lipstick haul from NYX was mental, I can’t believe I bought TEN new lipsticks! I’ve not tried them all yet as I need to photograph them first, reviews and swatches coming soon. I’m loving the NXY Lip Creams though! It goes on creamy and dries to a soft matte/velvety finish! Perfect for Spring when you don’t fancy a mouthful of gooey mess that is lipgloss!  I’m wearing San Paulo with Jade Green Nails today.
